Prior to our downsizing, and while Tim was still with us, we had arrived in the city of Waterloo, and were trying to think of something good to eat that wouldn’t cost a lot. I remembered I had a Hy-Vee grocery store gift card (while employed at Safelite Solutions during our Winter season, I had won a $10 gift card for working extra hours), and the GPS indicated there was a store close by.
We picked out a rotisserie chicken and potato salad. We were so excited about the free meal, generously provided by the friendly managers at Safelite Solutions, we wanted to take a selfie.
While JC repeatedly clicked pics of us, trying to capture all 3 of us, a kind woman in produce offered to take our picture.
The gift card said: “Grape Job!” and, there in the produce section of the grocery store, we thanked Jeanne for her help.
We spent some time talking with her, and found her to be a woman of faith. She was just precious. When we discussed the word of God, and the Scriptures regarding salvation, it was obvious she gave serious thought to what God requires.
The 4 of us joined hands to pray, and Jeanne told us she had an upcoming appointment for some tests regarding a recurring illness. Please keep her in your prayers.
Jeanne, it was delightful meeting you and we’re praying for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
